Positive News for Landlords in 2008
London’s Lettings market seems to be causing some nervous feelings and uncertainty. We have been keeping an eye on the market in the hope that we can give our clients a confidence boost.
2008 has started very positive for London Landlords and in general the lettings market is fairly buoyant and properties are being let. The Sales market seems to be waiting to see what comes around the corner while Lettings is very positive and holding its head high with positive rents.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors shows a record growth in the latest quarter and some agents are showing a 25% increase on last year’s figures
We feel in general that having your cash in bricks and mortar is safe option, whether that is investing, letting the property out, living in it or borrowing against it. There are always ups and downs in the market but overall the long term prospects are very healthy.
